What is Becoderm-C?

Becoderm-C is a topical corticosteroid (containing Clobetasone Butyrate 0.05% w/w) for the short-term treatment of milder forms of eczema flare-up. Becoderm-C provides rapid relief of eczema symptoms and promotes healing.

Becoderm-C has been clinically proven to be more effective than Hydrocortisone 1% creams.

What is Eczema / Dermatitis?

Also called dermatitis, eczema is a very common skin condition, characterised by red and itchy skin rash.

Eczema (dermatitis) usually affects only certain parts of the body – commonly the hands, elbows and back of knees. Symptoms include:

  • Moderate to severe itch – the itch may appear to be out of proportion to the appearance of the rash
  • Recurring rash that appears as dry, red skin, which may also be patchy or scaly

When eczema flares up, your skin becomes very dry and itchy. When you scratch and damage the skin, a reaction occurs in the lower layers of the skin, making it itch even more. This is called the itch-scratch cycle.
