Zantac

Zantac provides long lasting relief from acid indigestion and heartburn. Your stomach makes acid which helps digest your food. Sometimes your stomach can produce too much acid, and it can flow back into your oesophagus (the tube that connects your throat to your stomach), causing acid indigestion and hearburn.

Zantac belongs to a group of medicines called H2 Antagonists (also known as H2 Blockers). Instead of just neutralising your excess stomach acid like antacids, H2 antagonists work by helping to prevent your stomach from producing too much acid in the first place.
